Biography
Omar Melo has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, finance, and operations, with a focus on technology, TMT, renewable energy, real estate, and financial services. His background spans M&A, equity and debt capital raising, structured finance, tax equity, mortgage origination, and restructuring.
Omar began his career on the buy-side as an equity research analyst with Soros Funds in Hong Kong, later moving to the sell-side with Merrill Lynch in New York and Banc of America Securities in San Francisco. He subsequently held leadership roles at several start-ups and middle-market firms before returning to investment banking as Vice President at Peak Technology Partners and Managing Director at Crewe Capital. He is currently the Managing Partner at Zero Point Capital, an independent middle-market investment bank.
Omar received his Juris Doctorate and B.S. in Accounting degrees from Brigham Young University. He is a native Spanish speaker.
